| Rockets exec Cooper to take Minnesota assistant coaching job
Dean Cooper, elevated to Rockets vice president of player personnel before last season, accepted a position with the Minnesota Timberwolves to become an assistant coach, an individual with knowledge of the decision said Monday.
Cooper had been with the Rockets for nine seasons, five as a video coordinator and scout and three seasons as director of scouting. He had increasingly worked with players for the Rockets, the summer league team and the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders program.
