Five to watch
The Bulls need a pure point guard and scoring big man. Most mock drafts expect top point-guard prospects such as Derrick Rose, Jerryd Bayless and O.J. Mayo to be gone if percentages prevail and the Bulls stay at No. 9. But the pool of big-man projects is deep. Here are brief looks at five potential No. 9 picks:
DJ Augustin
5-11, 180, Texas
Extremely quick with solid shooting range and ability to score or pass as game dictates. Defense and size are big question marks.
Kevin Love
6-9, 255, UCLA
Physical and fundamentally sound with ability to rebound and outlet, but lack of quickness and jumping ability are drawbacks.
Kosta Koufos
7-1, 250, Ohio State
Skilled scorer is equally adept with post moves and running the floor. But he isn't very physical, needs to improve rebounding.
Anthony Randolph
6-11, 220, LSU
Left-hander possesses a dazzling array of offensive skills, which sometimes leads to poor shot selection. Also lacks strength.
Russell Westbrook
6-3, 190, UCLA
Already an accomplished defender but might be too much of a combination guard for Bulls' needs. Long and quick and solid team player.
